Picnic area with tables and porta-potty up adjacent to Governor Hunt Rd., then a brief forested slope down to a largely sandy beach. Beach runs from confluence of Cold Brook on the south to the Vernon Dam fish ladder on the north end. Popular fishing and beach area that leads to fishing line and fishing-related trash, cook-outs, etc.
