About the event
Discover the hidden world of the wood turtle, a rare and charismatic reptile found in Connecticut's forests and rivers. This free presentation by the Connecticut River Conservancy and Orianne Society will explore the species' ecology, threats to survival, remarkable intelligence, and ability to traverse landscapes. We will also highlight the urgent need for conservation. Join us to learn how you can help protect this threatened turtle and the river valleys they depend on!
This presentation will be led by Kiley Briggs, Director of Conservation at The Orianne Society, and Rebecca Budd, Restoration Program Manager at the Connecticut River Conservancy. Programming is made possible with support from the Wiederhold Foundation and CT DEEP.
