CRC has secured funding to plant native trees and shrubs along the banks of the Connecticut River and its tributaries in order to filter polluted runoff and provide a buffer zone between our streams and land use.

About the event

Restoring riverbank trees and shrubs, which were cut and removed over the years, is an important step toward improved water cleanliness, more stable riverbanks, and better fish & wildlife habitat for our rivers. CRC plants native trees and shrubs along the banks of the Connecticut River and its tributaries in order to filter polluted runoff and provide a buffer zone between our streams and land use.

You will need:

  • Water bottle and snack/lunch
  • Appropriate clothing for the weather
  • Boots
  • Raincoat
  • Hat
  • You will get dirty, so plan to bring a spare set of clothes for after.
  • Work gloves, if you have a pair
  • Shovel, if you have one. If you don't have one, please let us know in the registration form!

Location and Accessibility:

  • Lyndon, VT. Location details will be sent after registering.
  • Available parking within 500ft of site.
  • No bathroom on site.
  • Restaurants and gas stations are less than 5 minutes away.
