Tides and Tales: A River Storytelling Event

Time & Location

Mar 28, 2025, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Connecticut River Museum, 67 Main St, Essex, CT 06426, USA

About the event

Dive into an evening of enchanting river tales with the Connecticut River Conservancy (CRC) at the Connecticut River Museum in Essex, CT! Let the storytelling sweep you away as we gather around a fire outside to (re)kindle our connection to our Connecticut River watershed. Sip on hot cocoa, bask in the warmth of community and campfires, and share your own river-inspired tale (in five minutes or less, please).

Before the storytelling begins, the Connecticut River Museum invites you to visit and learn by venturing forth with your own independent museum exhibit explorations or by joining a docent-led tour starting at 4:00pm. River history and adventure flow into a confluence and come alive at the Connecticut River Museum! (Please note that museum admission is separate from this event’s registration. Discounted museum entry fee when you register for CRC’s storytelling event.)

This magical evening is co-hosted by the Connecticut River Museum and CRC board member & Source to Sea Swimmer, Kari Kastango. Come for the stories, stay for the connections, and leave with the river running a little deeper in your heart.
