About the event
Join us on Saturday, October 3, for a fun family fly-fishing morning! We will provide some fishing poles (both fly and spin rods) or bring your own. We will also have donuts and coffee! Bring your favorite humans and a blanket or comfy chair for this sweet gathering to connect with the river, nature, and autumn leaves.
We are welcoming community members, families, and children, to join us at the Mascoma River in Lebanon, NH, for a couple of hours of relaxed angling. The trail to get to the river is across from the Canillas Community Garden. Please do not park in CCBA member parking lot – there is public parking around Colburn Park or in the lot behind City Hall.
Members from the Greater Upper Valley Trout Unlimited Chapter will be on hand to help with setting up lines, learning how to fly fish and tie flies. The Lebanon Conservation Commission will also be in attendance to help educate folks about stream ecology and the importance of riparian habitats.
Please make sure you have a fishing license if you are over the age of 16 – children under 16 can fish without a license. You can purchase you license online here: https://www.nhfishandgame.com/
This event is FREE, but we ask that you register so we order enough donuts!
*Angling and Donuts is funded in part by a grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s Wellborn Ecology Fund. Thank you!
