Description

We understand why this song did not make the Top 40, but give it a listen anyhow.

Fifty years ago, friends of the Connecticut River Watershed Council wrote and recorded this operatic song about the river, which was released on a 7-inch 33rpm vinyl disc in 1965. “Connecticut River Song” was written by Dolores Chandler of New York City and performed by opera star Iris Bala. The flip side was “Clean It Up“, also by Dolores Chandler, performed by The Four Keynotes, a barbershop quartet.
