Description
We don’t know why this song did not make the Top 40!
Fifty years ago, friends of the Connecticut River Watershed Council wrote and recorded this song about the river, which was released on a 7-inch 33rpm vinyl disc in 1965. It was written by Dolores Chandler of New York City and performed by The Four Keynotes, a barbershop quartet from Hartford. The flip side was the operatic number “Connecticut River Song“, also written by Dolores Chandler and performed by opera star Iris Bala. The opening bars of this song are available as an MP3 ringtone.
