Crosby Brook
Putney Road (Rte 5) and Chesterfield Road (Rte 9)
Crosby Brook runs between the two gas stations on the west side of Putney Road at the Exit 3 Interchange and crosses Putney Road and then runs behind Ramuntos and then down to the Connecticut River. Basic urban stream. There is trash behind Ramuntos and east on the next property. I spoke to the manager of Ramuntos (Paul Redding) and he is going to contact the owner to see if they will give us access to clean up and possibly organize a volunteer crew of employees to make it a volunteer work day... provide pizza etc. I will follow up. I did not look at the gas station side, but since they are adjacent, it could be done by one team of about 10. Fine for children except it is close to the Exit 3 circle... so the groups would need to use caution crossing the road.
litter, some concrete parking slabs, some old shopping carts, etc.
