Publications

To help people better understand and enjoy the Connecticut River, CRWC has produced a number of publications. Here's a list of what's currently available:

The Connecticut River Boating Guide: Source to Sea (3rd Edition 2007)
and
Tidewaters of the Connecticut River: An Explorers Guide to Hidden Coves and Marshes
Two guide books for boaters with detailed information about where to put in and what you'll see.

Freshwater Mussels and the Connecticut River
This exhaustively researched and beautifully illustrated guide to mussels found in the Connecticut River basin is a welcome tool for resource agencies, conservation commissions, biologists, and schools with active ecological studies programs.

A Fishway for Your Stream
A step-by-step guide to providing fish passage around tributary dams. This 40-page booklet shares our knowledge and experience in developing fishways to allow migratory fish to get around small dams.

The River That Connects Us
A color poster displaying the cultural and natural history of the entire watershed. On its back, we've provided a listing of the valley's National Register listed historic sites and an informative essay by historian Richard Ewald.

The Connecticut River Watershed: Introductory Activities for High School Watershed Education
A watershed curriculum for high school students.
